Government will receive a loan of US$25M from the Caribbean Development Bank to fund a project which will protect a number of communities from flooding and other hazards brought onOvertopping at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara.by the effects of climate change.According to the bank last Thursday, components of the project include the reconstruction and improvement of approximately 5.4 km of sea and river defences, as well as for capacity in shoreline change monitoring and analysis.
