The Giants announced on Tuesday that Schwartz was examined by Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte,Wholesale China Jerseys, North Carolina, and that he will be evaluated weekly. The team did not indicate how long he would be sidelined.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants left guard Geoff Schwartz has a dislocated right big toe and will be in a walking boot for a week to 10 days.
Defensive tackle Marcus Kuhn (ankle),Cheap Air Max 2018 Shoes, receivers Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) and Trindon Holliday (hamstring) and cornerback Prince Amukamara (cornerback) also are out.
Rookie Weston Richburg, a second-round draft pick, has replaced Schwartz at left guard.
"Obviously you can't rush him back, but it sure would be good to get him back ASAP rather the other way around," coach Tom Coughlin said after getting the good news from the doctors. "It is not going to be easy for him. He is a big man."
Mosley and offensive tackle James Brewer were seen by back specialists this week and Coughlin hopes they will return to practice soon.
The offensive line doesn't have a lot of depth this week with Schwartz,Nike Air Max 97 Australia, Mosley, Brewer (back) and tackle Charles Brown (shoulder) all sidelined.
The Giants (4-0) will have new starters at both guard positions on Thursday in the preseason finale against the New England Patriots (2-1),NFL Jerseys Outlet. Veteran John Jerry is taking over at right guard with Brandon Mosley sidelined with a back problem this week,Cheap NFL Jerseys.
"This is just a minor setback," Schwartz said. "I plan on attacking the rehab program so I can get back on the field as soon as possible with my teammates and help us win games."
