Medical practitioners who have not concluded at least 12 academic sessions recognised by the Medical Council of Guyana may soon not be able to practice in Guyana.Minister of Health,NFL Jerseys China, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy,Cheap Jerseys Online, last week tabled the Medical Practitioners (Amendment) Bill 2009,Jerseys NFL Wholesale, which seeks to amend the Medical Practitioners Act 1991.The Bill seeks to enhance the minimum number of academic sessions a medical practitioner is required to attend in order for him/her to get registered to practice medicine or surgery in Guyana.At present,Wholesale Jerseys, a medical practitioner must submit evidence of having attended a minimum of six academic sessions recognised by the Medical Council of Guyana during the preceding year to enable him/her to be registered.The proposed amendment also calls for enhanced qualification of medical practitioners and is expected to pave the way for better quality in the practice of medicine and surgery in the country.The Bill was read for the first time in the National Assembly on Thursday last. |
