NUMBER SEVEN VILLAGE, CORENTYNE – Police in Division ‘B’ of the Guyana Police Force are working on a number of theories to ascertain how Trevor Kissoon of 25 Alexander Street in New Amsterdam met his death.Trevor KissoonThe body of the 27-year old employee of the J&N Taxi Service at Trinity and Main Streets, New Amsterdam was fished out of a canal at Number Seven Village,Wholesale Jerseys, which is along the Number Nineteen Highway, on Thursday.According to police reports, the man was dispatched to locate a passenger at the Canje Turn just after 23:00 hours on Wednesday in a silver Carina 212 HB 7489. On Thursday about 11:15 hours police received a telephone call from a resident in the said area informing them that a body was in the waterway. There were wounds to the head and one above the right eye which from initial investigation appear to come from being struck with a blunt object. The car Kissoon departed in has not been recovered.On Sunday, a police source close to the investigation said that based on information gathered thus far, four persons were detained and interrogated. Two of them were kept overnight, including the man’s reputed wife. But by Saturday they were all released. All angles are being scrutinized including the reports of a triangular love affair, a possible car theft among others. It is also suspected that the murder had backings from a connection in Georgetown. Initial investigation suggest that Trevor Kissoon was beaten and dumped in the waterway and was struggling to get out of the canal. a post mortem examination is to be performed tomorrow Tuesday. |
