Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL), Bharat Dindyal, has signaled his intentions to resign and may be gone by mid-year, said Prime Minister, Sam Hinds, yesterday during a sitting of Parliament.The Prime Minister made the revelations while responding to questions from the Opposition parties as the government asked for an additional $8.2B for budget support in 2009. GPL’s Chief Executive Office, Bharat DindyalResponding to a pointed question from the Alliance For Change’s, Khemraj Ramjattan, on whether $1B in additional funds was linked to the resignation of Dindyal, Hinds explained that the monies were for fuel and other purchases for the company.Regarding the “resignation” of the CEO, the Prime Minister noted that the executive has signaled his intentions to move on and may be gone as early as mid-year.Dindyal assumed his post shortly after government in the early part of the last decade, took back the power company from an overseas investor after commitments were not met and the rates went up drastically.Yesterday,Brett Favre Falcons Jersey, Dindyal admitted that he is desirous of leaving and that he has made this known.
