He expressed total disappointment and disgust that employers, particularly in the private sector, fail to recognize the severity of pregnant mothers not adhering to recommendations and advise given their physicians.He further noted that while it is always painful for any death, the Ministry of Public Health will seek to investigate and implement laws to penalize employers who openly disregard the medical proposals and conditions of their employees.The Public Health Ministry will continue to work towards achieving the United National Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5 which is to reduce by three quarters, between 1990 and 2015, the maternal mortality ratio.
