A man who allegedly raped a 13 year-old girl from Grove, East Bank Demerara, while purporting to be a Probation and Welfare Officer was yesterday remanded to prison after he made a court appearance before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.Randolph Pereira, the bogus probation officer, and a former police officer, on March 9, last, at Diamond, East Bank Demerara, is alleged to have had carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 15.
