The representative related that the decision to continue working was based on the understanding that the municipality will make a similar payment by this weekend.“This money is nothing much to what they owe us, but once we get money for fuel we will continue to work for them.” Meanwhile, the management of Puran Brothers Waste Disposal Service and Cevons Waste Management Incorporated up to yesterday had not agreed to accept the municipality’s offer of $3M per contractor.This newspaper understands that the two contractors had requested that they be paid for at least two months, before resuming their operation. It was related that the two months payment represented just about $9M per contractor, a request which was not considered by the municipality.“We have creditors to pay off and $3M is not anything much. They wanted to give us less than a month’s payment.
