A Black Bush Polder farmer and his family were on Monday evening attacked and robbed of over $2.5M in cash and jewellery by four armed bandits.Reports are that 46-year-old Jainarine Singh called ‘Hardat’ of 38 Johanna North, Black Bush Polder, was at home with his wife Drupattie, 42, and two children when they were attacked and robbed. The bandits were armed with a shot gun, a hand gun and two knives. They were all wearing ski masks.The man stated that around 20:30 hrs he was at home with his wife and children. He was outside relaxing in a hammock under a shed when he was suddenly pounced upon by the men who invaded the yard. They started to demand cash and jewellery and threatened untold harm if their demands were not fulfilled.His wife who was inside realized what was taking place and quickly closed the door. The men then proceed to harass Singh and threatened to kill him if she did not open for them. Listening to her husband’s pleadings,Cheap NHL Jerseys, the woman eventually opened the door and the men took over $2M worth in jewellery and $500,000 in cash.They then made good their escape. The police were contacted and responded promptly, but no one has been arrested so far. |
