Three Lindeners who were arrested by police following a murder have been remanded to prison after they were jointly charged with possession of narcotics.The three men, Oswald Grant, of Central Ameila’s Ward; Keith Joseph, of Oronoque Drive, Retrieve; and Kenton Griffith, of Kara Kara, made their appearance before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton yesterday.It is alleged that between Sunday July 13 and Monday July 14 at Old Kara Kara, Linden they had in their possession 80 ½ kilograms of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. The three men pleaded not guilty.Police Prosecutor Desiree Fowler asked that they be remanded.As such they were remanded and will make their next court appearance on August 5 at the Christiansburg Magistrate’s Court.Also in court yesterday, Damian Trotman was remanded for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.It is alleged that on July 15 he had in his possession 86 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to prison until October 17 when he is expected to make his next court appearance.In another case which was called by Magistrate Octive-Hamilton,Adrian Dantley Jersey, a Sophia man was also remanded after he was charged with possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.It is alleged that on July 17, Stephen Piggott had in his possession 217 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.He was remanded until October 24 when he is expected to make his next court appearance. |
