Owner of Sandy’s Funeral Home, Michael Sandy, and a former employee of the Lyken Newburg Funeral Home, Hugh Walcott, yesterday appeared in court charged with two counts of uttering a forged document and two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony.09Sandy, 45, of Chapel Street,Alejandro Palacios Mexico Jersey, Lodge,Emil Bergstrom Sweden Jersey, and Walcott,George Corral Mexico Jersey, 47,Matias Fernandez Chile Jersey, of 51 North Melanie Damishana,Gaston Ramirez Uruguay Jersey, East Coast Demerara, were granted $300,Sebastian Eriksson Sweden Jersey,000 bail each by Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle, who is performing the duties of Chief Magistrate.It was alleged that they conspired with persons unknown to forge the signature of Gordon Lyken on a certificate of embalming and application for exportation of human remains.It was also alleged that,Egidio Arevalo Rios Uruguay Jersey, with intent to defraud,Jurgen Damm Mexico Jersey, they uttered a forged certificate of embalming and application for exportation of human remains purporting it to show that it was signed by Gordon Lyken, knowing this to be forged.This is alleged to have occurred between December 5 and December 8, 2007.       Sandy and Walcott were represented by attorney-at-law Roger Yearwood,Blank Chile Jersey, who made a bail application. Yearwood told the court that his clients are not flight risks.The prosecution did not object to bail, and the men were granted bail. Their next court appearance is on September 9.
