Another outing went wrong when Ronald Etwaroo, 36, of 63 First Street, Alexander Village, was doused with hot oil following an argument with his friend, yesterday, at the Kitty seawall. Etwaroo was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s (GPHC) A&E unit where he was treated and sent away.According to reports, Etwaroo,Nike Air Max Suomi, and some other friends went on a cook-out at the Kitty seawall when an argument broke out. Kaieteur News understands that the enraged friend took the pot of hot oil from the fire side and doused Etwaroo, after the heat of the argument had became too overwhelming. The incident occurred some time in the early afternoon hours.Etwaroo who received burn injuries mainly to his nose has reported the matter to the Kitty Police Station.In May, Lloyda Renita Thomas, of Sunflower Close, South Ruimveldt, was stabbed to the stomach and head, by her best friend ‘Angie’.The  women who lived in the same apartment at South Ruimveldt, accompanied by a third woman and two children, left home after stating that they were going “to the pool over the river.”They then visited Aracari Resort at Versailles, West Bank Demerara. An official at the resort recalled seeing the friends drinking at the poolside. After leaving the location together in a taxi, a quarrel reportedly broke out between the women over where they should sit. The row escalated, and Thomas’ best friend smashed a bottle and stabbed her to the stomach and throat.After realising that she had wounded her friend, the suspect reportedly became hysterical and slashed her own wrist.She accompanied the wounded Thomas to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where Thomas was pronounced dead on arrival.
