Deochan Raghubar was yesterday sentenced to two months in jail and fined $25,Carlos Vela Mexico Jersey,000 by City Magistrate Geeta Chandan-Edmond,Chile Jersey, after he pleaded guilty to the offence of fraudulent misrepresentation.The court heard that on January 17, last, Raghubar was handed $11,500 to purchase alcohol for businessman, Rawle Barclay, but Barclay never got the money.Police Prosecutor, Corporal James Garnett told the court that on the day in question, on South Street Georgetown, Barclay gave Raghubar the money to go to Narine’s Liquor Store on Robb Street. Raghubar confessed that he had used the money for his own purposes, and Barclay handed him over to the police.Raghubar pleaded guilty to the charge and explained that he was greatly disappointed in himself.
