The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) yesterday in a statement to the media expressed concern about the front page article carried in last Tuesday’s edition of the Guyana Times Newspaper titled ‘Newborn falls on Maternity Ward floor.’The hospital stated that its administration has since launched an immediate investigation which should be completed tomorrow.The Corporation reported also that both the mother and her infant son have been seen by the doctors and given a clean bill of health. “Mother and baby were discharged today,Carmelo Anthony Team USA Jersey,” the hospital stated.The release also lamented its disappointment that the Guyana Times did not contact the hospital for a comment on the matter before publishing the article,John Stockton Team USA Jersey, especially since senior members of the administration are readily available to comment on any matter regarding the hospital.“In addition,Juwan Howard Wizards Jersey, the patient has stated that she was never assaulted as was reported by the newspaper.”GPHC also responded to last Monday’s article in the Stabroek News titled ‘Public Health Services unable to cope.’According to the hospital,Orlando Magic Jersey, the article incorrectly stated that persons were required to pay $7,NBA Store,000 for a complete medical checkup.“The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation wishes to state that patients do not pay for medical examinations when they visit the hospital.
