A miner who police say stabbed a pensioner with the arrow he was shot with was yesterday remanded to prison when he answered a murder charge at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.Royburn Morris,Arturo Vidal Chile Jersey, 39,Eugenio Mena Jersey, of 53 Lord Street in the North West District entered the courtroom with a white bandage tied around his wrist and stood in the prisoners dock as the charge was read to him by Magistrate Judy Latchman. Morris was charged with unlawfully killing John Joseph,Matias Fernandez Chile Jersey, a 64-year-old pensioner at Triangle Backdam in the North West District on April 5.Representing the divorced father of three,Blank Chile Jersey, Attorney at Law Clive Ford made an application for his client to receive medical attention and reasonable bail. He notified the court that his client was injured due to a poisonous arrow fired by the deceased.“He said that he would shoot him your worship and he shot him in his abdomen.” He later added that his client later fainted from delirium and therefore needed to be seen by a doctor for examination.The lawyer then gave the court a list of tests his client needed to undergo.
