President Bharrat Jagdeo traveled to Caracas,Chris Chelios Jersey, Venezuela,Darcy Kuemper Jersey, yesterday,Sean Couturier Team North America Jersey, to a ceremonial welcome following which he engaged in talks with his counterpart, Hugo Chavez, at the Venezuelan President’s Mariflores Palace residence.The visit by President Jagdeo signals a deepening of relations between Guyana and Venezuela especially in the area of trade which according to the Venezuela News Agency has increased significantly since 2009,Pierre Turgeon Jersey, the Government Information Agency said yesterday.The growing relations between the two countries have been driven through the foreign policies of both countries as the two nations maintain intense trade in mineral,Tony Twist Jersey, food,Jonas Brodin Jersey, chemicals and wood.Prior to his meeting with President Chavez,Nino Niederreiter Jersey, President Jagdeo received the parchment which accredits him as an illustrious guest of Caracas from Head of Government of the Capital District Jacqueline Faria during a ceremony performed at the Plaza Bolivar.President Jagdeo was also presented with the key to the City.The ceremony was preceded by the President laying a wreath at the Simon Bolivar monument at the Plaza Bolivar.The Guyanese President was accompanied by a delegation which includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett,J. T. Miller Team North America Jersey, Minister of Agriculture Robert Persaud,Wayne Gretzky Jersey, Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Elisabeth Harper.President Jagdeo was expected back in Guyana last night.
