Government Pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh testified yesterday that due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the 11 persons who were killed at Lusignan East Coast Demerara,Jason Pominville Jersey, on January 26,Trevor Daley Jersey, 2008, death would have been instantaneous.Dr. Singh was the person who conducted the post mortem examination on the 11 bodies.Mark Royden Williams, called ‘Smallie’ and James Anthony Hyles,Phillip Danault Jersey, known as ‘Sally’ are facing murder charges. The two are being represented by attorneys Roger Yearwood and Nigel Hughes respectively.According to Dr. Singh none of the bodies had gunshot residue,Martin Havlat Jersey, which could mean that the perpetrators were at least five feet away. The doctor stated that all of the bodies had multiple gunshot injuries. Both lawyers declined cross examination.Parmanand Sidwah was the next witness called. Sidwah testified that he was present at the Georgetown Public Hospital to identify the bodies of Clarence Thomas, Vanessa Thomas and Ron Thomas.He said that after the post mortem was completed the bodies were handed over to him.Kassim Khan,Doug Gilmour Jersey, another witness,Antti Niemi Jersey, said that he identified the body of his nephew,Ryan Murray Team North America Jersey, Shazim Mohamed. The body was later handed over to him. Rajkumar Harrilall,Marcel Goc Jersey, said that he had identified the bodies of his wife Mohandai Goordat, and his two sons Seegopaul and Seegobin Harrilall on January 31, 2008 at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary.After Harrilall’s testimony,Dylan Larkin Team North America Jersey, Senior Prosecutor Judith Gildhaire- Mursalin closed her case. The two defendants through their lawyers are expected to lead their defence on Monday.Roger Yearwood is expected to bring two witnesses and Nigel Hughes will bring one.The matter will continue on Monday morning. |
