The liquor licences, one of the officers explained, have to be renewed annually and since they were expired it was illegal for the owners to sell the alcoholic beverages that they had in their possession. Over three vehicles of items were confiscated by the law enforcement officials.One of the senior officers explained that the persons responsible will be charged and placed in Court. Also present at the scene during the raid were crews from the Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL).
