Greaves is set to receive the Gospel International Award for his song “Restoration” at the upcoming Guyana International Awards show, scheduled for May 1 at the National Cultural Centre (NCC). Questioned about his current schedule, Prophet Greaves noted that he is “very busy.”“Most of my days (in Guyana) were spent working on a music video for the same awards show which will be soon aired,” he added.“I have been here(in Guyana) these three weeks I have touched Georgetown and Linden, visited Love and Faith Ministries ,Freedom Life Ministries and participated in a concert at Special Miracles Ministries among other places.”Psalmist Greaves disclosed nonetheless that his desire is to work in the social arena in Guyana is not just to preach the gospel and sing but to add to the solution for the suicide issues the nation currently faces. Such a desire catapulted him into becoming an international chaplain to the United Nations (UN) to tackle suicide and work on finding solutions on the issue for all peoples.According to the leading Gospel Artiste reaching out to people from all walks is the mission of the Church.As such, Greaves attends concerts and conferences annually addressing citizens of various nations and Islands.“People are people everywhere they are different in culture but they are people with needs. Every day brings a song because every day has a story.”Prophet Greaves disclosed too that prayer /fasting and reading books about his faith and listening to healthy conversations keeps him focused and grounded in difficult times.The Psalmist is set to perform at live concerts in St. Vincent, St Lucia and at Music Fest on April 30 at the Guyana National Stadium and on May 1at the NCC where International Guyanese Superstar Eddie Grant, Natural Black, Lisa punch and others will be awarded. “I have spoken to Lisa Punch and would love to collaborate with her and others,” Greaves said of his future music ventures. |
