The Government Analyst – Food and Drug Department (GA-FDD) said yesterday that during the month of January,Pierre Turgeon Jersey, four containers with Evaporated Milk,David Savard Jersey, Condensed Milk and/or Sweetened Condensed Milk were refused entry into Guyana.The brands were Best Liat Sweetened Condensed Milk, Global Sweetened Condensed Milk and Tastu Evaporated Creamer.The refusal was due to non-compliance with the prescribed standards for Evaporated Milk, Condensed Milk and/or Sweetened Condensed Milk as found in regulations 13 & 14 Division # (5) of the Food and Drug Regulations 1977, and the International Food Standard Codex STD for milk fat products (CODEX STAN 280-1973) Codex Alimentarius.
