And one way is by implementing sustainable changes through education and technology. She posited that she has extreme confidence that those trained will be able to take care of the operations of the NICU. The project is a joint venture between the Government of Guyana and Canada-based Guyanese paediatrician Dr. Narendra Singh who initiated the NICU program in Guyana.Also speaking at the ceremony was Medical Superintendent attached to the New Amsterdam Hospital Dr. Vishyala Sharma and Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital Alan Johnson.
