Kadeem Davis was on Friday admitted to the Guyana Bar by Justice Roxanne George following a petition by Attorney-at-Law Christopher Ram.New addition to the Guyana Bar Kadeem Davis (centre) flanked by Attorney-at-Law Christopher Ram and Justice Roxanne George on Friday.Davis,Pedro Rodriguez Barcelona Jersey, who is currently in the employ of Demerara Distillers Limited as Assistant Company Secretary, recently graduated from the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad.According to Ram, the Petitioner is a person who, like so many, grew up the old-fashioned way, in a household characterized by discipline, love and economy. The Petitioner was one of two sons born on October 26, 1991 to Walter Davis,Gerard Pique Jersey, a businessman and Karen Davis,Nicolas Castillo Jersey, home manager.He attended Mae’s Under 12 from 1998 to 2003. From there he attended one of Guyana’s premier secondary schools,Alex Song Barcelona Jersey, the Bishops’ High School. “That School,Adama Traore Jersey, your Honour,Sergi Roberto Jersey, with its tradition of excellence and an environment of learning, enabled the Petitioner to achieve an impressive academic record – eleven subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate achieved in 2008 and seven subjects at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) in 2010.”Ram added that as impressive as his academic achievements were,Alexis Sanchez Chile Jersey, his extra-curricular activities were no less remarkable.The Petitioner went on to the University of Guyana where he excelled in his academic studies even as he took an active part in the life of the Law Department. He was the Student Representative of the University of Guyana at the IFES World Assembly in Krakow,Luis Suarez Jersey, Poland in 2011; Vice President of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Guyana (2011-2012),Gerard Gumbau Jersey, President of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Guyana (IVCF) (2012-2013) and Third Year Representative of the University of Guyana Law Society (2012-2013).He graduated from the University of Guyana in 2013 with the Bachelor of Laws degree and from there, proceeded to the Hugh Wooding Law School to pursue the two year course for the Certificate in Legal Education.He was a Committee Member of Hugh Wooding Law School Student Representative Council Mooting Committee (2013- 2014); Committee Member of the Welfare Committee at the Hugh Wooding Law School (2014- 2015) and Executive Member of the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the Hugh Wooding Law School (2014-2015).Davis said, “This is the fruition of a dream that I held since I was the age of eight after hearing the erudite Senior Counsel, Mr. Rex McKay reporting on a case on the national television. “He thanked his parents, brother, relatives and his church family for their support throughout the years. |
