Sasenarine Singh,Marc Staal Rangers Jersey, a senior official of the Alliance For Change,Daniel Sprong Penguins Jersey, has sued the Guyana National Newspapers Limited,Jean Beliveau Canadiens Jersey, publishers of the Guyana Chronicle and the Sunday Chronicle, in excess $50M.Singh has retained,Pavel Datsyuk Red Wings Jersey, as his attorneys,Dan Boyle Rangers Jersey, Clarence Hughes, Richard Fields, Richard Stoby and Nigel Hughes,Bryan Trottier Penguins Jersey, among others.The lawsuit stems from an article which was published and reprinted on more than one occasion in the Guyana Chronicle alleging that Singh while employed at the National Milling Company (Guyana) Limited,Justin Williams Capitals Jersey, was involved in corrupt practices.The article was based on allegations made by one Fizal Ally.Ally had stated that he first met Singh in 1991,J.T. Miller Rangers Jersey, while he was employed at the National Milling Company and was responsible for the allocation of flour for wholesale distribution.“At that time,Mike Gartner Rangers Jersey, I was one of the largest distributors of flour in Guyana…I therefore interacted with Mr. Singh on an almost daily basis as he was responsible for the quantity of flour to be allocated to me,” according to AllyAccording to Singh the articles were published while he was not in the country and as such he waited until he arrived in Guyana to file the suit. |
