– Ministry of Labour looks to interveneThe Guyana Bauxite and General Workers Union (GB&GWU) has rejected an offer of a 2.5 per cent pay increase for workers attached to bauxite shipper Oldendorff Carriers and the Union stands poised to strike if a reasonable offer is not put on the table.Guyana is the fourth largest supplier of bauxite to the United States.
