The Guyana Trades Union Congress has stated that it is least impressed by recent utterances by President Bharrat Jagdeo and Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh. Burton said the Congress is therefore calling on the Administration to hold a national stakeholders’ consultation on such a sensitive issue.“Consultation should not only be held for domestic and security issues, but also for an issue as sensitive as the CLICO one…We see this matter as very threatening,” Burton pointed out.
