The Guyana Public Transportation Association (GPTA) has released a new minibus fare structure, which will come into effect from tomorrow. The move has been approved by both Nicholas Nnami, the President of the GPTA, and Lyon Weithers, the President of the General Minibus Association of Guyana.The increases have been deemed necessary in light of the increasing costs of fuel and spare parts. Children will be asked to pay half-fare. Copies of the new minibus fare structure should be on display in minibuses, as these have been distributed to various minibus operators.
