The occasion was a family reunion that included a church service at Freedom Congregational Church, Stewartville.The Millers have since spread across Guyana and many of them have even migrated. The migrants return every two years.On Sunday,Max Bullough Michigan State Jersey, the oldest of the Miller descendants, Claude Tait,Andrew Wiggins Kansas Jersey, 94, was on hand to unveil the monument the family erected in the churchyard.On previous occasions they erected plaques in the church to honour those of their descendants who had played significant roles in the church, some of them serving as pastors.New York-based Edgar Henry,Russ Smith Louisville Jersey, whose mother,Jake Long Michigan Jersey, Iris Henry,Shaquille O Neal LSU Jersey, nee Miller,Taylor Lewan Michigan Jersey, up to the time of her death three months ago,Rueben Randle LSU Jersey, was the oldest surviving descendant, coordinated the reunion.He later joined with his other relatives to unveil the monument. |
