Advisor to the President on Community Development, Odinga Lumumba, met with potential contractors for a site visit and pre-bid meeting in preparation for the re-construction of the Tipperary Hall,cheap nfl jerseys, located at Buxton, East Coast Demerara.Office of the President invited sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the proposed building.Among those in attendance were Mr Jagatnarain Singh of Project Design and Construction, Mr William Wilson of V.I Graham Associates LTD; Eagle Transportation and General Construction INC, Pioneer Construction Services, Atlas Construction, Andre Howard Construction and Jaikeshan Construction.Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives at the Ministry of Finance on November 9. Construction of the new building will commence in December.The new facility will include an office, classrooms for computer training, a library, a lavatory, an auditorium, changing rooms and a bar.Tipperary Hall, which was a landmark at Buxton, lapsed into disuse in 1998. This building was primarily used by the residents for social and cultural events.Tipperary Hall was built in 1909.In 1911 it was registered as a burial society. The initial use of the building was expanded to include social, cultural and educational activities for the people of Buxton, Friendship and its environs.The building was inaugurated by the chairman and councillors of Buxton and Friendship local authority. |
