The Guyana Girl Guides Association (GGGA) ended a seven-day camp hosted for a Suriname Girl Scout Group at the Guyana Girl Guides Pavilion,Drew Stubbs Jersey, Brickdam. The team left Guyana yesterday.The contingent was made up of a total of 59 Brownies and Girl Guides,Arizona Diamondbacks Kevin Jepsen Jersey,Some of the girls dressed in cultural wear at the Campfire last Saturday.accompanied by five leaders. The girls and young women enjoyed the sights,Gregor Blanco Jersey, sounds,San Francisco Giants Jimmy Rollins Jersey, culture,Baltimore Orioles Michael Bourn Jersey, cuisine and the history of Guyana. They visited the Surinamese Ambassador,Pittsburgh Pirates Drew Hutchison Jersey, the Suriname Embassy and the CARICOM Secretariat; they had a tour of the Capital City and travelled out of town to the Western shores of the Demerara River.On Saturday last, the GGGA hosted a campfire which allowed the local and visiting associations to have a cultural exchange in song and dance and folklore. The Surinamese Guides attended a church service at St. Sidwell’s Anglican Church on Sunday,Travis Shaw Jersey, and were engaged in other scheduled activities before their departure yesterday.The Guyana Girl Guides Association in a release indicated that the visit provided an opportunity for the two entities to strengthen their relations and to foster deeper friendships for girls and a greater appreciation for Girl Guiding. Arrangements are being made for a reciprocal camp in Suriname in the coming year.
