He was caught tending to approximately four acres of land which had about 4,000 of the prohibited plants.VanSertima was also sent to prison for having a 12 gauge shotgun, a 9mm pistol, a Smith and Wesson pistol along with matching rounds of ammunitions when he was not the holder of a Firearm Licence.After police discovered the marijuana plant,Teddy Bridgewater Louisville Jersey, VanSertima took the ranks to his nearby camp where the cache of guns and ammunition was discovered.VanSertima was sentenced to three years imprisonment for cultivating marijuana and was fined $15,000.He was jailed for two years each on the gun and ammo charges and ordered to pay a fine of $50,Jacory Harris Miami Jersey,000. The jail terms will run concurrently.Meanwhile, in another case, a Bartica Hospital laboratory technician was remanded to prison on a charge of possession of illegal firearm and ammunition.Appearing before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan was 32-year-old Shemroy Peters. He pleaded not guilty to the charge which alleged that on March 20, at Itabali Police Check Point, Mazaruni,Andrew Wiggins Kansas Jersey, he had a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol in his possession without being the holder of a Firearm Licence.Peters denied that on the same day,Trey Burke Michigan Jersey, he had seven live rounds of 9mm ammunition.This matter was transferred to the Bartica Magistrate’s Court for April, 17. |
