A total of 186 students are slated to graduate from the University of Guyana Tain campus today. The event will mark the 14th Convocation Exercise and will be convened on the lawns of the Tain campus from 16:30 hours.Guest speaker for the occasion will be Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo.According to University tradition the Convocation will be presided over by Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the University Council, Ms. Bibi Shadick. The Official proceedings, including the granting of certificates, diplomas and degrees,Maryland Terrapins Jerseys, will be managed by the Vice Chancellor Professor Jacob Opadeyi, the Registrar, Dr. Nigel Gravesande, Deans and Coordinators of the various academic programmes at the Berbice Campus.The students will graduate from four faculties spread across 15 programmes. It is expected that they will come adorned in their faculty colours,John Wall Kentucky Jersey, special gowns and school insignias for the occasion.It is anticipated that the Faculty of Agriculture with one degree programme will be sending 12 students to the dais to receive their individual parchments.The Faculty of Natural Sciences, with four disciplines,Odell Beckham LSU Jersey, will be graduating 33 students in the following programmes: Associate Degree in Biology (21), Associate Degree in Chemistry (1),Tim Hardaway Jr. Michigan Jersey, Associate Degree in Mathematics (4),Dwyane Wade Marquette Jersey, and Diploma in Computer Science (7).On the other hand the Faculty of Social Sciences,Kansas Jayhawks Jerseys, with four disciplines, will be graduating the largest contingent with one hundred and five (105) students in the following programmes: Diploma in Accounts 13,NFL Jerseys China, Diploma in Public Management 16, Diploma in Marketing 20, Diploma in Social Work 16,Charles Woodson Michigan Jersey, Degree in Public Management 14 and Degree in Social Work 26With four disciplines, the Faculty of Education and Humanities, will be graduating 36 students in the following programmes: Certificate of Education (Early Childhood) (1), Bachelor of Education (Primary) (21), Bachelor of Education,Michael Ford LSU Jersey, Early Childhood) (11) and Bachelor of Education (Social Studies) (3) |
