Employees who are members of the Guyana Local Government Officers Union can anticipate an eight per cent increase in their salaries retroactive to January 2014.  This Union represents employees who are on the fixed establishment of Mayor and City Council.This agreement to grant the increase in wages was reached after a rigid deliberation between union representatives and the committee set up by the Council to address wages negotiating.City HallThis chairman of the GLGOU Mr. Dale Beresford proposed a 12 per cent increase in wages for members of his union.
