A disgruntled ex-employee of Muneshwer’s is seeking his dues and justice after being dismissed for no reason. The father of two,De Veon Smith Michigan Jersey, Balkarran Rohit, was employed at Muneshwer’s since February 1,Michigan Wolverines Jerseys, 1994,John Calipari Kentucky Jersey, and was dismissed on October 13, 2008. His termination letter cited economic circumstances.Documents produced to Kaieteur News yesterday by Rohit, stated that the ex-employee was given a two-week suspension without pay,Lower Merion Jerseys, pending ongoing investigations into the theft of diesel and spare parts. This letter was dated October 14,Luke Hancock Louisville Jersey, 2008.Some weeks later, a letter of dismissal was issued to Rohit, claiming that it was due to economic circumstances that he had to be dismissed. The man claimed that he has not received his severance pay, and since then he has been given the ‘royal run around’ to receive his monies. After speaking to the Human Resources Officer attached to the company yesterday, Kaieteur News was made to understand that the man had resigned from the company in 2007 and only returned to work two months later,Zach Mettenberger LSU Jersey, after failing to secure a job overseas. The man denied this allegation and noted that he was on two months’ leave in 2007, taking a vacation in Canada,Edrice Adebayo Kentucky Jersey, and has documents to this effect.Meanwhile, according to the Human Resources Officer, Muneshwer’s is in receipt of a job application letter from the very same ex-employee.However, Rohit strongly denied this, and insisted that someone had called him to inform him of the very same thing, though he himself did not pen the letter,Desmond Howard Michigan Jersey, but suggested that someone is up to mischief. The Human Resources Officer added that the man was paid all that was owed to him after his dismissal,Skal Labissiere Kentucky Jersey, but that he is fighting for monies he would have received had he not resigned in 2007.Rohit is reluctant to take legal action against the Company, but has so far received no help from the Ministry of Labour. |
