Members of the Bartica Speedboat Association are calling on the relevant authorities to provide them with all the necessary facilities to ensure the safety and comfort of commuters traveling from Parika to Bartica.During a meeting with some members,Joe Gilliam Steelers Jersey UK, yesterday, it was noted that on a daily basis boat operators are being made to pay a fee of $800 per trip. Another concern raised by the operators was the fact that they are not sure whether or not the shed will be keeping with maritime laws.However, the operators are already preparing their vessels to meet the deadline since they have been told that once they do not have their sheds fitted by that date they will not be allowed to operate. |
