Canadian-owned First Bauxite Corporation has signed an agreement with the Guyana Government to explore for bauxite in the Berbice area.According to a statement from First Bauxite yesterday,Guy Lapointe Canadiens Jersey, the agreement was signed in April 22 with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment and allows the firm to apply during the next three years of the Permission for Geological and Geophysical Survey (PGGS) for up to 12 Prospecting Licences.Currently, Russian-owned UC Rusal has bauxite mining operating in Aroaima and Kwakwani, Upper Berbice River.âOnce the conditions of the PGGS have been met,Dylan Larkin Red Wings Jersey, the Minister is obliged to grant such licences.âOn October 20, 2010, First Bauxite announced that it had acquired Bauxite Corporation of Guyana Inc.
