Each of the three defensive line coaches in attendance at the pro day took turns putting Brown through drills. Brown worked through the very tough workout and was impressive. A number of NFL Media analysts project Brown to be a first-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. Running back Malcolm Brown (5-11 1/2,Cyber Monday Michael Kors Bags, 219) ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 and 4.5 seconds,Nike Air Max 2016 Bl?, and then stood on the rest of his numbers from the combine, where he was a top performer in his position group in the three-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle. Cornerback Quandre Diggs (5-8 7/8,Nike Air Max 95 Pas Cher, 198) had a 9-foot-11 broad jump and stood on the rest of his combine numbers. Diggs had a good pro day workout, displaying good ball skills and quickness. Diggs' brother, Quentin Jammer, also played at Texas and was a first-round selection by the San Diego Chargers in the 2002 NFL Draft. Outside linebacker Jordan Hicks (6-1 1/2, 233) also stood on his combine numbers, where he was a top performer among linebackers in the vertical jump, three-cone drill and 60-yard shuttle. Wide receiver Jaxon Shipley (6-0 1/8,Air Max 2016 White, 192) ran the 40 in 4.58 and 4.49 seconds. He had a 35-inch vertical jump and 10-foot broad jump. Shipley is a very good receiver with very good hands. He is likely going to either be a seventh-round selection in the NFL draft or a priority free-agent pickup for a team. Tight end Geoff Swaim (6-4 3/8, 252) ran the 40 in 4.7 seconds on both attempts. He had a 35 1/2-inch vertical and 10-foot-4 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.52 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.31 seconds. Swaim caught the ball well,Adidas Lite Racer Neo Uomo, and showed better speed in the pro day drills than he does on the field. Swaim might have worked his way into be a sixth- or seventh-round draft choice. Defensive back Mykkele Thompson (6-0 5/8, 200) ran the 40 in 4.47 and 4.48 seconds. He had a 36-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-9 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.46 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.97 seconds. He also performed 18 strength lifts. Thompson primarly played safety for the Longhorns, but moved into a cornerback spot when the team went into a five-defensive back set. He is a player that if an NFL team signs him, it must decide if Thompson will be a big corner or an undersized safety. Thompson has a chance to get drafted,White Nike Air Max 90 Womens, but should be a priority free-agent pickup for sure. Follow Gil Brandt on Twitter @Gil_Brandt. |
