Region 10 has received a total of $169 million this year in their capital budget and according to Chairman of that Region, Mortimer Mingo, these monies will be used to address basic infrastructure in the region, such as roads and drains.Mingo added that the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) also plans to extend two of the children’s hostels, one in Linden and the other in Kwakwani.Money will be spent on maintaining a number of roads in Linden, while the $25 million,Jerseys NFL Cheap, which was allocated in the capital budget for the Agricultural Sector, will be used to construct two more drainage and irrigation canals in West Watooka, which is primarily the farming area in the region.Mingo explained that the Administration welcomes investments of all sorts and the RDC will attempt to address any issue within its powers so as to make the region as investment friendly as possible.Recently, Mingo had outlined various key areas where investments can be made in Linden.These include bauxite and the thriving timber industry in Linden, in which there are value added products, furniture plants, or dealing with wood that can de done in such a manner to create employment.He indicated that there is also potential for investment in Agriculture in the Region within the immediate savannahs and the surrounding area. |
