Ramnarine Sewnarine, called “Dinga” a butcher of 93 Section A Rose Hall Town,cheap nfl jerseys, Berbice, was on Wednesday granted bail by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo when he appeared before her at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court on a charge of larceny of animals. He was sent on $50,000 bail.The case for the prosecution was that between Holy Thursday and Good Friday the accused at Chadwick Farm, No.19 East Coast Berbice stole two cows owned by Steven Saul of Don Robin Farm, East Coast Berbice.The man had stated earlier that on the day in question he had rounded up his animals , which numbered over 100, at his pasture about a half mile away at Chadwick farm.On Good Friday morning when he went to check on his animals he noticed his cow pen was broken and two of his best milking cows were missing. He followed a trail and found parts of his animals scattered about.A report was made to the police who visited the scene. A suspect was identified and the police made a check on the suspect’s premises where meat was found. The beef when found was full of mud, grass, black sage and other shrubs. It was seized and taken to the Central Police station.A file was prepared and sent to the DPP and Sewnarine was subsequently charged.He will return to court on June 18. |
