He was not required to plead since the charge was indictable.Attorney-at-law Adrian Thompson,Green Bay Packers Jersey, in a bail application,Ha Ha Clinton-Dix Packers Jersey, said that the accused is a taxi driver,Tyson Jackson Falcons Jersey, and further explained that St Hill was never identified by the virtual complainant as the person who committed the act when an identification parade was conducted by the police.The lawyer also told the court that St Hill was picked out by a “witness”, not the virtual complainant, which he found to be very strange. He also noted that Harripaul picked out another person for the crime but that person was not charged.Thompson said that on the day in question when the robbery was committed, St Hill was at home with his stepfather. The lawyer noted that the stepfather has since cooperated fully with the police and has given a sworn statement to that effect.The lawyer contended that bail should be granted in a reasonable sum, also noting that his client does not pose a flight risk.However,Franco Harris Steelers Jersey, Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith objected to bail because of the seriousness and prevalence of the offence. The Prosecutor further told the court that the issue which Thompson raised about his client being picked out by a witness in the identification parade has no basis.“Mohase Harripaul was not the only person who was there when the robbery was committed which makes another witness liable to pick out St Hill,” Griffith explained.She said that even if the virtual complainant did not pick out the defendant, that still does mean he didn’t commit the crime.The prosecutor told the court that bail should also be denied because of possible interference of the witness by St Hill.St Hill’s lawyer interjected that “the defence is presently in possession of a sworn statement from the defendant’s stepfather which gives alibi for the accused”.The lawyer also noted that it is a matter of conflict as to why the virtual complainant did not pick out St Hill. He said that it would be up to the courts to prove this case beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt.Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith then told the court that the defendant was positively identified by a witness.Bail was denied and the accused is scheduled to make his next court appearance today.
