Yesterday, Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton remanded two persons for allegedly being in possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.On August 7 last,Bryan Bickell Jersey, Sheykova Theobald, of 54 D’Urban Street, Werk-En-Rust,Michal Rozsival Jersey, and Dane Park, had in their possession two grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. They both pleaded not guilty to the charge.Attorney-at-law Adrian Thompson, who represented Ms. Theobald, said that on the day of the incident the police were looking for Park. He said that based on the instructions he received, Park ran into Theobald’s home, with the police following him.During that time,Kyle Brodziak Jersey, Thompson said,ED Belfour Jersey, his client was asleep. A subsequent search was carried out by the police, and they found the prohibited substance.He further suggested to the court that it could be that the number two accused dropped the prohibited substance in Theobald’s house.The counsel said that bail should be considered,Jon Casey Jersey, given the fact that his client is a mother of two minors,Clark Griswold Jersey, of which one — a one-year-old — needs special care and attention for 24hours.However,Mike Modano Jersey, police prosecutor Desiree Fowler objected to bail, noting that bail should only be granted if special reasons are given,Marian Hossa Jersey, which was not done by the defense.At that point Thompson interjected,Al Macinnis Jersey, once again raising the issue of the one-year-old child who needs special attention.The magistrate, however, ruled in favour of the prosecution, and bail was refused. The duo will make their next court appearance on December 8. |
