The Global EMPRETEC Women in Business Awards have been presented every two years since 2008 with the main aim of celebrating exceptional women entrepreneurs who have benefited from UNCTAD’s EMPRETEC training programme across the 35 National EMPRETEC Centres in which the programme is being implemented.The Global Entrepreneurship Week initiative is now in its seventh year and continues to expand its reach since it began in 2008, founded by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, with 77 countries. GEW runs from November 17 to 23.
