The agricultural sector in Guyana has been further boosted with the addition of 24 trained students,New England Patriots Jerseys, who have returned having gained scholarships through the Guyana School of Agriculture and the University of Guyana.Yesterday,Brett Favre Packers Jersey, the students,Logan Ryan Patriots Jersey, who studied in Cuba,Heath Miller Steelers Jersey, met with Minister of Agriculture,Devonta Freeman Falcons Jersey, Robert Persaud. During the interaction,L.C. Greenwood Steelers Jersey, Minister Persaud alluded to the expectations of working in the agriculture sector.He stressed on the service that is to be provided to farmers and other stakeholders within the sector to support development and effect positive change.The officers will be immediately deployed to agencies under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and will serve in various regions to support the current ‘Grow More Food Campaign.’The Minister noted that this is an exciting time for Guyana’s agriculture as there are many opportunities available in light of the global food crisis.It was also pointed out that this is the largest batch of students that was sent on scholarships to Cuba.In the area of Agronomy,Rob Gronkowski Patriots Jersey, nine students were trained while two were trained in Civil Engineering.Veterinary medicine has an additional eight,Vic Beasley Jr Falcons Jersey, while three persons will be serving as forestry engineers.The telecommunication aspect has received one additional staff.Minister Persaud also took the opportunity to welcome the students to the Ministry and urged that they perform their duties diligently and be responsive to farmers in the execution of their duties and responsibilities. |
