The families of policemen who were killed in the line of duty were remembered by the Guyana Police Force on Christmas Day.Mr. Pryor London,Carlos Correa Astros Jersey, father of the late lance corporal Adrian London, receives a hamper from Commissioner Greene As part of its activities during this festive season,Joey Votto Reds Jersey, the Force presented hampers to the relatives of those ranks,Lance McCullers Astros Jersey, most of whom were killed in the brutal crime wave between 2002 to 2005.This is an annual activity of the Force in recognition of the contributions made by the slain ranks and aimed at assisting to bring Christmas cheer to their families.Leading in the distribution of the hampers was Commissioner of Police Henry Greene who delivered hampers to the relatives of the late Detective Lance Corporal 16987 Adrian London and Constable 18271 Feroze Bashier.London, who was once the force’s Best Cop,Tyler Naquin Indians Jersey, was slain outside a popular bar on D’Urban Street, Lodge on July 11,Barry Larkin Reds Jersey, 2002.Bashier was gunned down while sitting on his motorcycle in the village of Buxton,Omar Infante Tigers Jersey, East Coast Demerara, on August 27, 2007.The hampers were received by Mr. Pryor London, father of the late Lance Corporal London; and Felicia Bashier, daughter of the late Constable Bashier.Mr. Pryor London was also a member of the Tactical Services Unit of the Guyana Police Force who came off during 1983.Police Commissioner Henry Greene presents a hamper to young Felicia Bashier and her mother in the presence of Assistant Commissioner George VyphuisPolice Divisional Commanders also personally delivered hampers to other relatives of slain ranks residing in their respective Divisions. |
