A Roman Catholic priest who worked for over half a century in Guyana, Rev Linus Michael Wall,Cleveland Indians Jerseys, SFM died at the Scarborough General Hospital in Canada on Wednesday. He was 92.Fr. Linus Wall was born in Harbour Main,Nolan Arenado Rockies Jersey, Newfoundland on March 26, 1919 and ordained to the priesthood in Toronto on June 27, 1949.The son of Joseph and Bridget Wall,Brian McCann Astros Jersey, he is predeceased by his brothers James and Bernard (Catharine — Kay, of Linden, NJ) and his sister Genevieve Kennedy and survived by his brother Joseph (Kathleen) of Harbour Main Conception Bay, NL and many nephews and nieces.Fr. Linus Wall spent 57 of his 62 years of his priestly service outside of Canada, five in the Dominican Republic and 52 years in Guyana. Of his years in Guyana 42 was spent as pastor of Our Lady of Fatima, Georgetown, making him one of the longest-serving Catholic pastors in Guyana. He left Guyana in 2008 for his home,Omar Infante Tigers Jersey, Canada.A few days ago,Carlos Santana Indians Jersey, it was reported that the priest was “gravely ill”. Doctors had stopped all procedures since they felt that it was the best thing to do.Fr Wall celebrated his 90th birthday and his 60th anniversary as a Scarboro priest in Guyana in 2009.He was buried yesterday at Scarboro Missions, Scarborough,Michael Lorenzen Reds Jersey, Canada. |
