Mothers who gave birth on New Year’s Day were the proud recipients of care packages for their babies, compliments of the Cheekies family from Ansa McAl Trading Limited.A release from the company said that it was only too happy to be continuing its annual tradition of sharing out Cheekies Bundle of Joy hampers to all babies born at the Georgetown and Berbice hospitals on New Year’s Day.The generous gifts were well received and brought smiles to the faces of many new mothers.Cheekies Brand Representative, Joel Lee, took the opportunity to congratulate all the mothers of newborns and wished them all a Happy New Year. The distribution activity represents the 16th anniversary of what Ansa McAl is calling an “annual tradition.”According to Lee, “It was his and the company’s pleasure to support mothers as they ushered in a new generation and a new year filled with hope and promise.” Large hampers containing 224 diapers and packs of baby wipes were presented to the mothers of the first boy and girl at the Georgetown Public Hospital, while all other mothers of newborn babies received hampers containing 168 Cheekies Cloth Soft diapers and baby wipes.Among those receiving hampers were GPHC patients Adesa Sealy, who gave birth to her first baby, a girl (First baby born on New Year’s day), and to Christien Jarie who also gave birth to her first baby – a girl; Michelle Holder gave birth to her second baby, a boy (First boy born on New Year’s Day) and Shalima Nohar gave birth to her first baby, a boy, both at the Woodlands Hospital and Sasha Dey, who gave birth to her third baby, a boy, and Ameena Morgow who gave birth to third child, a girl. The latter two delivered their babies at the New Amsterdam, Berbice Hospital.According to the Ansa McAl Trading release the company is grateful to the management and staff of all of the hospitals helping to make the “Cheekies Bundle of Joy” presentation on New Year’s Day 2015 a great success.
