And I want to reiterate that you don’t have to be rich in order to support your children. In fact, some of these students are from very modest homes.”“I had the privilege of meeting a parent of one of the top performing students and the parent didn’t know one thing she was studying but guess what, when her daughter had to be up early in the morning studying , she was there with her, foot and foot, and that is the kind of support your children need.”Also adding to this call was the Finance Minister, Dr. Singh.“Whilst the Diamond Scheme has grown and represents the progress of the Education system, I wish to reiterate Minister Manickchand’s calls for fathers to be more involved in the lives of their children. She had made this call at a similar event and I feel it is important to do so again.”The Finance Minister also lauded the work of the Ministry of Education and expressed his satisfaction with the Beterverwagting Nursery School which was opened earlier in the day.
