Quick response by members of the Guyana Fire Service yesterday saved the Guyana Post Office Corporation building from destruction by fire.Reports are that smoke was spotted coming from the eastern side of the building but the firemen were able to put out the fire before it spread to other parts of the building.The person who made the call to the Guyana Fire Service and who asked not to be identified said the fire started some time around 16:40 hours inside the part that houses the Compliance section of the Guyana Revenue Authority.He said most of the offices which are housed in the building were already closed. According to the man,Louis Lipps Steelers Jersey UK, the fire was spotted by a security guard who quickly alerted others in the area.The fire service was summoned to the location.
