Local tech giant, STARR Computers Inc. (STARR) yesterday launched its newest range of the Samsung Smart Phone that has the capabilities of projecting movies onto a wall.At the company’s head office at 59 Brickdam, President of STARR computers, Michael Mohan, unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Beam which he insists will revolutionize Smart Phones.The Samsung Galaxy Beam.The ‘Beam’, he said, is ideal for communication settings that utilize visual images including Power Point Presentations, replacing the more cumbersome image projectors commonly used for such purposes.“We particularly recommend this product to both the public and private sectors to facilitate conferences – seminars, corporate training, classroom lectures, mining industries, and other communication settings by projecting both still and video images onto independent screens.”Samsung officials are now planning to visit Guyana to hold an expo to showcase new products in the technology field.His son, Michael Mohan Junior, a specialist in the tech field, said the phone is like having an entire office in the palm of the hands.General Manager, Rehman Majeed, explained that based on needs and demands, Smartphones are now being made to suit all aspects of life, including work and entertainment.Explaining the practicality of the Smartphone, the General Manager said it is ideal for interior locations to replace having to walk with a laptop, a power pack, a stabilizer and a projector.
