–    Special imam of New York to attendThe Eid Milad un Nabi or Youman Nabi Programs 2014 will culminate with the grand finale for the month, at Anna Catherina Islamic Complex (ACIC) today (January 14, 1014) at 10.00AM prompt.Public Relations Officer of ACIC,  Reyaz Hussain said the annual program, which has been observed by ACIC for over 70 years, follows 12 Nights of programs at the complex, The “International Mawlid in the City Event” on Saturday last and the several other programs throughout Guyana, featuring Maulana Dr. Muhammad Waffee. He said Pakistani scholar, Maulana Muhammad Mujahid Raza, the resident scholar of ACIC as well as ACIC’s Imam Abdool Fazeel, will make presentations.Also coming for the program is Imam of Masjid Al Abdin, New York, USA – the state’s largest masjid of people of West Indian origin, Shakh Safraz Bacchus al Azhari. The Guyanese born scholar worked with the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) and was a member of ACIC until his migration to the USA a year ago.The program will also contain qaseedas (hymn of praise) from the cream of the singers of Guyana, including Mohameed Shahid, Reyad Razack, Mohamed Khan, Sakina Hassan (of Leguan) and the best Qaseeda singer in Guyana – Maulana Mujahid.
