Present were members of the community policing group, it was reported.Bisram is well known for a charity work in Berbice and has donated to community policing and even to help students.While at that party, Narinedatt, a father of one, reportedly rejected the sexual advances of Bisram, who became incensed and ordered his people to beat him. The carpenter was dumped in a car and taken to the roadway where he was placed. He was run over to make it look like an accident.There were several persons at that party on October 31. This would be one way to deal with the crime in those far-flung areas. People know things, but few are willing to trust the authorities to talk.This past week, I was speaking to a friend who works in the Eteringbang area. This is an area that borders with Venezuela and is heavily patrolled by security forces from both countries.It is a hot spot for smuggling.According to my friend, it is not unknown for boats filled with items being stopped and our own security ranks taking a portion of what is on board.I believe my friend. The family is crying for justice.Bisram is for the time being in the safe arms of the US where he is based. I am awaiting to see how this plays out.Bisram, who seemed to have the world at his feet, still needs to tell his side of the story—whether the allegations he is facing are true.
